RS430 is a shearing type steel fiber in ripple shape. Raw material is steel plate or strip grade SUS430. RS430 is a very cost effective steel fiber for monolithic refractories reinforcement.

The application of 430 stainless steel fiber in monolithic refractories should be positioned as a medium temperature economical solution. Suitable for kiln areas with a stable working temperature below 900°C, such as certain heat treatment furnaces, boiler linings, and mid to low temperature sections of hot air ducts, and must be used in a clean and dry oxidizing atmosphere where moisture or reducing gases can accelerate corrosion. Used under strict control of initial investment and with less stringent operating conditions.

If the actual temperature exceeds its limit, it will quickly oxidize and fail. The iron oxide scale produced by oxidation not only loses its reinforcing effect, but its volume expansion may also crack the surrounding refractory materials, causing structural damage. Therefore, steel fibers made of 430 material are strictly prohibited from being used in high-temperature areas, areas with frequent thermal shock, reducing/carburizing atmospheres (such as cracking furnaces), and environments with acid and alkali corrosion.

Ripple shape is a classic shape among all indentation ones. Its relatively shallow indentation looks like ripples in the lake water, enhancing its anchoring and bonding ability with refractories while exhibiting excellent flowability. It is not easy to aggregate during installation and is convenient to use, making it the best choice in the indentation series. Of course, we can also deepen the indentation depth according to the customer's requirements, or rough the cutting section to meet its bonding ability with the refractories, but it may cause some degree of agglomeration.

With the same shape, grade RS304 and RS446NS(non-standard) can be available too for high temperature solutions.

Iron chromium aluminum electric heating alloy steel wire is an electric heating material mainly composed of iron, chromium, and aluminum. It has the characteristics of high electrical resistivity, low temperature coefficient of resistance, good oxidation resistance, and high operating temperature. Its maximum operating temperature can reach 1400°C, and the Al2O3 oxide film formed on the surface significantly enhances its high- temperature oxidation resistance. This alloy is lightweight and low-cost, initially mainly suitable for industrial electric furnaces, household appliances, and other scenarios.

By optimizing the preparation process, the high-temperature brittleness problem of traditional materials has been solved, and the service life has been extended. Steel fibers made of iron chromium aluminum electric heating alloy steel wire are also very popular in the refractory industry. According to the content of aluminum, there are many varieties, with typical representative varieties having aluminum content of 3-5% and chromium content of 14 or more, which are the most cost-effective.

FeCrAl alloy contains high chromium (Cr>=14%) and key element aluminum (Al:3-5%). At high temperatures, aluminum preferentially forms a dense, stable, continuous, and highly adhesive α-Al2O3 (corundum) protective film on the surface over chromium. The anti-oxidation temperature of this Al2O3 film is much higher than that of the Cr2O3 film dependent on stainless steel fibers. Its maximum continuous use temperature can reach 1,300°C- 1,400°C, and its short-term limit can reach 1,500°C. In the high temperature zone above 1,200°C, its antioxidant capacity far exceeds that of 310 and 446 stainless steel fibers.

310S and 310 are both high alloy austenitic heat-resistant stainless steels, and their main differences are carbon content and the resulting performance differences. Simply speaking, 310S is a low-carbon version of 310, mainly designed to improve intergranular corrosion resistance and weldability, but with a slight sacrifice of high-temperature strength.

The "S" of 310S represents "stabilization", but here it is more accurately understood as low- carbon. The upper limit of its carbon content is 0.08%, much lower than the 0.25% of 310. Low carbon minimizes the formation of harmful carbides to the greatest extent possible.

The low-carbon design makes the 310S highly resistant to sensitization. When it stays in the sensitization temperature range of 450-850°C, carbon will combine with chromium to form chromium carbide, which precipitates at the grain boundary and leads to chromium depletion at the grain boundary, causing intergranular corrosion. Even after exposure to the above temperature range, 310S can still maintain good intergranular corrosion resistance.

Room temperature strength: Due to the solid solution strengthening effect, the yield strength and tensile strength of 310 with higher carbon content at room temperature are usually slightly higher than 310S.

High temperature strength: At sustained and stable high temperatures (such as>1,000°C), the instantaneous strength and creep resistance of 310 are slightly better than 310S, because the solid solution strengthening effect of carbon is still effective. However, if the work environment involves repeated heating and cooling (thermal cycling), it will repeatedly pass through the sensitization temperature range. At this point, 310S has a smaller tendency for carbide precipitation, a more stable microstructure, and may have more reliable long-term performance.

310 can be regarded as a "high-temperature and high-strength version", but it is sensitive to intergranular corrosion. 310S is an "optimized version for corrosion-resistant welding", which significantly improves the anti sensitization ability and weldability by reducing the carbon content without almost losing high-temperature oxidation resistance.

In practical applications, 310S is a more commonly used and versatile choice because it balances high temperature performance and corrosion resistance, especially suitable for the refractory industry.

As a kind of rare high-end metal fibers, our aluminum fiber is a cutting type from aluminum wire, with diameter 0.085- 0.12mm, length 2-4mm, a reinforcement material of refractories applied for:
